It would be a crime to go all the way to Beijing and miss out seeing one of the seven wonders of the world - the infamous Great Wall of China. This must-see tourist attraction is swarmed with tourists, which is why you tour starts out early in this morning to beat that crowd.
You'll arrive at Mutianyu - a restored section of the Wall - after which it's a short hike up to the wall. For the less athletic, the hike is worth the trouble all thanks to the beautiful view that unfolds through the walk. Soak in the view of the Wall as it stretches through the surrounding countryside. However, if you absolutely hate hiking, for an additional cost you have the option of taking a cable car ride up the Wall instead.
Once you've reached the Wall, it's not just about soaking in the surrounding scenery, but also about the myths and legends which your tour guide will reveal at certain points of the walk. Do note that there are steep steps which is why you should take your time exploring this great wonder.
Once you've reached the end, you can opt to go down the same way you came (i.e. on foot), a cable car ride or toboggan down! Upon reaching the bottom, it's certain you've built an appetite so your last stop is an authentic Chinese restaurant which is sure to satisfy your appetite.
From there you will make your way back to Beijing, but don't let that stop your exploring adventures, and ask your friendly tour guide for things to do and see in Beijing!
